  1. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics journal (Murphy and Carbone, 2008) children with disabilities benefit largely from physical activity. This journal highlights the advantages of physical activity, provides pediatricians recommendations for appropriate activities and addresses the negative consequences, those of a physical, emotional and social nature of children who lack physical activities and recreation.
    This journal is another helpful resource for educators, including myself, to use in advocating for children with disabilities and inclusion.
